Veteran Recovery College

  •  Supports over 230 veterans annually with mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Recognised nationally with multiple awards for veteran healthcare and rehabilitation.
  • Accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Quality Network for Veteran’s Mental Health Services).
  • Plays a key role in the NHS Recovery College Collective for the North East.
  • Risk identified: potential waiting lists if urgent funding is not secured.

Community Kitchen & Foodbank

  •  Over 1,500 hot meals provided each week.
  • 80+ people supported monthly via the foodbank.
  • Serves as an access point for wider mental health and crisis services.

Drop-in Recovery Centres

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support.
  • Prevented escalation of crises, reducing strain on emergency services.
  • Act as safe spaces, tackling isolation and social exclusion.
  • Offer workshops on mindfulness, budgeting, creative arts, and resilience.

Employment Support

  •  Hundreds of individuals with mental health challenges supported back into work in 2024.
  • Partnerships with WiseGroup, Reed in Partnership, DWP, and North East Combined Authority.
  • Helped individuals overcome barriers to work, build confidence, and gain resilience.

Counselling Services

  •  150–200 people per week supported in North Tyneside and Blyth.
  • Demand so high that there is a 4-month waiting list.
  • Operates on a donation-based model (£30 suggested per session), but 50% of the work is unfunded.
  • Challenges: financial sustainability, long waitlists, and high demand.
